Will of Joel Medlin Junr.

State of South Carolina
I Joel Medlin Junr. of Richland District and State aforesaid do makeand ordain this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making Void all former wills hereto fore made by me – As to such Property as it hath pleased God to entrust to me I dispose of as follows.
First – I hereby give and bequeath unto my father Joel Medlin Sen. all my real and personal estate in trust for the use and purpose herein and hereafter mentioned.
Second- It is my will and desire that my executor here after mentioned shall as soon as possible after my death out of the first money that comes into his hands to pay all my debts and funeral expenses.
Third- It is my will and desire that my father Joel Medlin Sen. Shall after all my just debts are paid to make a neat calculation of the property of his estate that is coming to me and divide it equall between Priscila Daily and Charlotte Daily the two oldest daughters of Mary ann Daily’s that they may share and share alike in the said property that is coming from my Father Joel Medlin Sen. to me.
Fourth – It is my will and desire that my executor hereafter to be mentioned shall collect all debts that are due me and divide the proceeds equally between the said Pricila Daily and Charlotte Daily eldest daughters of Mary ann Daily’s retaining in his hand five dollars which it is my will and desire that he pay unto or give unto my lawful wife living
Fifth- I hereby appoint and ordain my father Joel Medlin senr. Executor of this my last will and testament to carry into execution the foregoing will In testimony thereof I have this day set my hand and Seal this twenty eight of November in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fortyseven and the seventy second year of the American Independence.

Probate of Joel Medlin Junr. Will By James S Guignard Esquire, Ordinary of said District Personally appeared before me John J. Johnson and James Goins who, being duly sworn, made oath and saith, that they saw Joel Medlin Junior. saidn, seal, publish, pronounce, and declare, the annexed instrument of writing, bearing date the twenty Eighth day of November 1847 to be and contain his last will and Testament that he the said Joel Medlin Junior was then of sound and disposing mind, memory, and understanding, according to the best of Deponents knowledge and belief, and that the said John J. Johnson and James Goins with John Johnson, and Sary Goins at the request of the Testator in his presence, and in the presence of each other witnessed the due execution thereof.
